Abgelaicht wird auf dem Substrat. Das Weibchen tr\u00e4gt etwa 19 Tage die Eier im Maul, worauf hin sie ca. 30 Junge frei l\u00e4sst. Enantiopus melanogenys M\u00e4nnchen bauen &#8222;riesige&#8220; Brutarenen, in die sie versuchen die Weibchen locken.
